Over the past few years, it has become the largest corporate holder of digital assets after beginning to rapidly acquire Bitcoin in 2021.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bitcointreasuries.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Data <\/a>compiled by Bitcointreasuries.net shows Strategy holds 762,099 BTC as of March 23. At the time of publication, that stake was valued at nearly $57.7 billion, based on an average entry price of $75,694 per coin.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Beyond that recent trade, Strategy also amended its corporate authorizations to support a much larger campaign to amass the market\u2019s leading cryptocurrency.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.strategy.com\/press\/strategy-announces-21-billion-strc-atm-program-and-21-billion-mstr-atm-program_03-23-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">disclosed <\/a>plans to raise up to $42 billion in new capital, split evenly between as much as $21 billion of Class A common stock (MSTR) and $21 billion of Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock (STRC), which would give Strategy substantial purchasing power to accelerate its Bitcoin accumulation goal.<\/p>\n<h2>600,000 More Bitcoin By Year\u2011End?<\/h2>\n<p>At current prices near $70,500, the $42 billion program could theoretically fund the purchase of roughly 595,000 additional Bitcoin, which would not only meet but materially exceed the company\u2019s stated 1 million\u2011coin aspiration by year\u2011end.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If executed in full, the raise would push Strategy\u2019s total holdings to more than 1.35 million BTC\u2014surpassing even its ambitious public targets\u2014and represent about 6.42% of BTC\u2019s 21 million fixed supply, <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcointreasuries.net\/news\/strategy-inc-announces-plan-to-raise-dollar42-billion-to-buy-btc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">according <\/a>to Bitcointreasuries.net.<\/p>\n<p>CEO Phong Le highlighted the symbolism of the $42 billion figure in a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/phongle\/status\/2036076603281649977?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">post<\/a> on X (formerly Twitter), quoting The Hitchhiker\u2019s Guide to the Galaxy: \u201c42 is the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.\u201d Le noted the neatness of the 21 + 21 split, which mirrors Bitcoin\u2019s 21 million supply cap.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/x\/9ynoLrTr\/\" alt=\"Strategy\" width=\"1814\" height=\"981\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Simultaneously, the cryptocurrency rebounded by almost 3% on Monday, beginning the day on the same optimistic note as the start of last week&#8217;s advance.
