BTC is now consolidating and might aim for a move above the $124,000 resistance zone.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bitcoin started a fresh increase above the $122,000 zone.<\/li>\n<li>The price is trading above $122,000 and the 100 hourly Simple moving average.<\/li>\n<li>There is a bullish trend line forming with support at $120,200 on the hourly chart of the BTC\/USD pair (data feed from Kraken).<\/li>\n<li>The pair might start another increase if it clears the $124,000 resistance zone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Bitcoin Price Hits New ATH<\/h2>\n<p>Bitcoin price formed a base above the $118,500 level and started a fresh increase. BTC gained pace for a move above the $120,000 and $120,500 levels.<\/p>\n<p>The bulls even pumped the price above the $122,000 level. The price traded to a new all-time high near $123,973. It is now consolidating gains above the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $118,971 swing low to the $123,973 high.<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin is now trading above $120,000 and the 100 hourly Simple moving average. There is also a bullish trend line forming with support at $120,200 on the hourly chart of the BTC\/USD pair.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-804494\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbtc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Bitcoin_eb2440.png?resize=1024%2C493\" alt=\"Bitcoin Price \" width=\"1024\" height=\"493\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Immediate resistance on the upside is near the $124,000 level. The first key resistance is near the $124,500 level. The next resistance could be $125,000. A close above the $125,000 resistance might send the price further higher. In the stated case, the price could rise and test the $126,250 resistance level. Any more gains might send the price toward the $127,000 level. The main target could be $128,000.<\/p>\n<h2>Are Dips Limited In BTC?<\/h2>\n<p>If Bitcoin fails to rise above the $124,000 resistance zone, it could start a correction. Immediate support is near the $122,750 level. The first major support is near the $121,500 level or the 50% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $118,971 swing low to the $123,973 high.<\/p>\n<p>The next support is now near the $120,200 zone. Any more losses might send the price toward the $118,500 support in the near term.
