Grayscale highlighted via X that \u201c@Zcash is similar to Bitcoin in its design\u201d but adds \u201ca privacy technology that encrypts transaction information and allows users to shield their assets,\u201d while noting that the Grayscale Zcash Trust was open for private placement to accredited investors.<\/p>\n
From the builder side, Helius Labs CEO Mert Mumtaz distilled a multi-part thesis that resonated with technically minded traders: privacy has been \u201cslept on\u201d and is \u201cabout to make a comeback\u201d amid CBDC and centralized-coin momentum; a \u201cRenaissance of talent\u201d is entering Zcash across the Zashi wallet, intents research, and performance workstreams; and several \u201clarge tech improvements\u201d are in flight that could \u201c1,000x performance and scale as well as help with security and finality.\u201d<\/p>\n
He framed ZEC as both under-researched and mispriced relative to peers, while cautioning that the trade is still risky. \u201cMonero is a $5B coin and somehow Zcash was below $700M when I started talking about it,\u201d he stated, adding, \u201cThis is an obvious mispricing, as Zcash has a stronger privacy and scale design but almost no one in crypto is technical enough to look into this.
